Oregon SEA?
Build Your Business With Us.

Oregon's Self-Employment Assistance program lets eligible claimants work full-time on a new business. Our twelve-week online academies provide the entrepreneurial training, business planning, and coaching that help you launch.

How Oregon SEA works

The Oregon Employment Department runs SEA together with the Oregon Small Business Development Center network. Your business must be reviewed for feasibility by the Employment Department with a local SBDC representative.

Once approved, you must document your self-employment activities, such as entrepreneurial training, within 45 days. Please confirm with the Oregon Employment Department that our training will count before you enroll.

Now enrolling. Upcoming start dates: November 2 (late registration), November 15, December 1, January 3, and January 15.

Choose your state

We train self-employment assistance participants in Washington, New York, and Oregon. Each state runs its own program, so choose yours for the rules that apply to you.

Twelve Weeks From Concept to Launch

The same live online academies our Washington participants take, with every session recorded.

Entrepreneurial training

Oregon defines entrepreneurial training as training that develops skills in organizing, operating, and assuming the risk for a business venture. That is the core of every academy we teach.

A business plan you can use

You finish with a written business plan, financial systems, and a launch milestone, which supports the planning work Oregon SEA expects.

Fully online

All instruction is live online and recorded, so you can take part from anywhere in Oregon.

Before You Enroll

Confirm first

Oregon SEA works closely with the Oregon SBDC network. Contact the Oregon Employment Department SEA program at sea.emp@oregon.gov to confirm that our training meets your requirements.

Pricing

Washington SEAP rates apply to Washington participants. Contact us for Oregon pricing and start dates.

Choose your track

Most tracks are online. The 3D Print Entrepreneur Academy includes an in-person lab in Seattle, so most Oregon participants choose an online track.

Coming soon: Technology Security Consulting

Our Technology Security Consulting Academy, led by Ibrahim Traore, PMP, M.Eng, is coming soon. It is not yet open for enrollment. Email director@diamondpmoconsultants.com to join the interest list.
